Sobre Mi
I am a very passionate, energetic student of anthropology and psychology whose main aspirations are to translate theory into tangible solutions to real life problems. I am deeply interested and commited in making a positive impact in this world by being a mental health, diversity and equity advocate and by fighting the stigma surrounding mental health. I am particularly interested in trauma and how to manage Adverse Life Experience impacting children development and their wellbeing in the present and future, More specifically, how children of parents with mental health illness can break out of the cycle of mental illness and learn to take care of themselves and avoid following their ill-parents footsteps. I am also specially interested in healing practices that incorporate the body and movement, such as dance and yoga.
My bachelors thesis consisted of a qualitative research project on the adult legacy of having a parent with mental health difficulties in Spain where I interviewed spanish individuals on their experiences of being the children of parent with mental health problems. In october I will start a double masters at Instituto Superior de Estudios Psicologicos in Madrid on family therapy and psichosocial intervention + master in theater therapy.
I am also looking for an internship/ job where I will be further able to develop soft-skills that will allow me to conduct better qualitative research and to develop more hands on experience.
